Another month, another Ipsy glam bag. This month we are back to the usual adorable hot pink mailers. Maybe we’ll get an orange one for October. I’m not a big fan of the items I received this month. Last month’s items were way better. I did receive one gem though. The theme for the September glam bag was, “Like a boss.” This was well conveyed with the chic faux leather glam bag. I just wish my items made me feel “like a boss.”
Ultra Glossy Lip by ColourPop
Price for full-sized product: $6.00 for 0.085 oz. Ipsy cashback is not available.
The only good things I have to say about this product is that I like the color and it isn’t sticky. This is my first ColourPop lip gloss and it will be my last (unless Ipsy decides to send me another one). I hate how this applies to my lips. It is very uneven and the product just gets patchy as you try to fix it. The gloss smells horrible. The packaging is low quality. I’ve hardly had this gloss a month and the words are fading off the tube. The silver from the application wand is chipping too.

Wonderwand Mascara by Ciate London
Price for full-sized product: $22.00 for 0.32 fl oz. $6.60 Ipsy cashback is available bringing the price down to $15.40.
I love this packaging. The silver, white, and grey are 100% my aesthetic. The applicator brush is excellent. It applied the mascara perfectly. My lashes were full and there was no clumping. I honestly thought I found my new favorite mascara until a few hours after application. The mascara was crumbling off my lashes and into my eyes. It was horrible and burned a ton. I gave this mascara three chances and it did the same thing each time. This is a case of loving the brush but hating the formula. I’m kinda heartbroken on this one.

Black Sugar Mask Wash Off by SkinFood
Price for full-sized product: $10.00 for 3.38 oz. Ipsy cashback is not available.
“Blah.” That describes my feelings toward this mask in one word. It didn’t suck, but it wasn’t amazing either. I applied it and my skin felt fine. I didn’t notice any improvements after using the mask a couple times. If I need to use the mask more than twice to see results the sample should be larger. I just wasn’t impressed because I’ve had better results with masks in the same price range.

I-Line 24/7 Eyeliner by Beauty for Real
Price for full-sized product: $14 for 0.01 oz. Ipsy cashback is not available.
Three colors were available through Ipsy for this product: black magic, jade, and champagne. I received champagne. I used this liner as an inner eye corner highlight. The liner applied smoothly and added the perfect amount of color and sparkle. I don’t have any issues. I know of another liner that is similar, but cheaper. This is the only reason I wouldn’t purchase this item.

Organic Infused Gel Effect Nail Lacquer by Adesse New York
Price for full-sized product: $18.00 for 11 ml. $3.60 Ipsy cashback is available bringing the price down to $14.40.
This was my favorite item from this month’s bag. The color, Deception, is this chic grey that I’m in love with. The polish lasted on my nails 5 days before it started chipping. I got away with wearing it for 6. I consider a non-gel polish great if it can get me through a 5 day work week. I used the China Glaze base coat, two coats of the Deception, and the Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond top coat by Revlon. The Adesse polish brush is high quality and applied the polish evenly. This is definitely the gem of my September glam bag.
