Stretching 101

We all know stretching is an important part of any fitness routine. It has a ton of benefits and is a great way to warm up or cool down. Knowing this doesn’t change the fact that most of us don’t stretch as much as we should or at all. That is why I decided to arm you with a little knowledge to inspire you to stretch more.

For some added inspiration here are a few of my favorite stretching routines:

  • Blogilates’ Fat Burning Cardio Warmup– This 5-minute warm up features dynamic stretching and will be sure to get your heart pumping.
  • Blogilates’ Stretching for Flexibility!– If you warmed up with the first video cool down with this one. It’s a 10-minute full body static routine.
  • Tone It Up’s Stretch & Release routine– This 10-minute routine will stretch out the whole body. Plus there’s pretty beach scenery!

  • Yoga With Adriene’s Morning Yoga– Yes, this is a full 20-minute yoga routine, but it’s a great way to gently wake up the body.
